Fall 2025 Clergy Conference

  • Camp Weed & Cerveny Conference Center 11057 Camp Weed Place Live Oak, FL, 32060 United States (map)

The Fall Clergy Conference offers an opportunity for continuing education, fellowship, and worship with our clergy brothers and sisters from across the Diocese.

Our retreat leader is David Zahl, founder and director of Mockingbird Ministries, editor-in-chief of the Mockingbird website (www.mbird.com), and co-host of both The Mockingcast and The Brothers Zahl podcasts. He and his family live in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he also serves on the staff of Christ Episcopal Church. David is the author of Seculosity: How Career, Parenting, Technology, Food, Politics, and Romance Became Our New Religion and What To Do About It and Low Anthropology: The Unlikely Key to a Gracious View of Others (and Yourself).

David will center his retreat talks around his recently published (April 2025) book The Big Relief: The Urgency of Grace for a Worn-Out World.

“Why do some of us experience Christianity as a burden and others as a refuge? The answer, I am convinced, has to do with grace. Grace is the Big Relief at the heart of Christianity.”
– David Zahl, The Big Relief
